From August 2002- August 2003 I lived in Swaziland as a volunteer with the Mennonite Central Committee's (MCC's) Serving and Learning Together (SALT) Program. There I lived with a host family (The picture above shows the where I lived - not far from Kwaluseni & Matsapha in an area called Mbikwakhe.) and worked with an organization called the Faith Bible School (FBS) Health Team. Our work was mainly HIV/AIDS education in local churches, but since then, the FBS Health Team has grown to include a home based care initiative. My time there was such a significantly positive experience for me, I'd like to dedicate some space here to it and to the people who made it so.
